Queen Elizabeth is reportedly exultant to get back to work once a COVID-19 vaccine is released and plans to continue in her role for her whole life.
The 94-year-old monarch has no plans to slow down, she is looking forward to getting back to her public duties.
After most of a year spent holed up in her castles, the Queen is reportedly “keen to get back to normal”, The Express reports.
Elizabeth’s unwavering sense of duty has been a constant theme throughout her life.
During a broadcast in 1947 she said: “I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.”
She remains fully committed to that promise 73 years later.
Another insider was quick to put to bed ideas that Elizabeth II would make way for her son Charles sooner rather than later.
“There are no discussions that I am aware of relating to a Regency,” they told the publication.
If the Queen can continue on for another three and a half years then she will officially be the longest ever serving monarch.
